FROM DIRT TO DREAMS
The beach has always been our happy place. We found this marsh view lot in Holden Beach while vacationing in Oak Island. We took the plunge & bought some beach dirt in 2011.
In 2014, we constructed a seawall on the property.
We finally had a "structure" on the lot to go visit.

Our family grew & we visited the lot anytime we were nearby.
Our kids continued to question the value of owning dirt by the beach "if you can't use it".
We finally made the decision to build in 2020.
We worked with an architect for months to design every inch of the house plans.
Last, we selected an awesome builder to make this dream a reality.
We broke ground in March 2021, amidst supply chain issues, record lumber prices, and a global swimming pool shortage. We mostly found a way to laugh through the build process, but once it was over we were SO happy to have it behind us.
We came up with a handful of names. Some were playful and creative, but we wanted something that was meaningful. We kept going back to the name of our Aunt's river house "Sea Grace".
Grace is a family name, starting with a great grandmother and trickling down as middle names of most women in our family, including our two daughters. Ultimately, we chose the name because we truly believe Grace is one of the greatest blessings that we can give and receive.
Our hope is that it is a subtle reminder for us to "SEA" all that is good and spread kindness and "GRACE".
